What is Electroacupuncture & Ear Acupuncture?

Electroacupuncture ⚡

Electroacupuncture is a modern enhancement of traditional acupuncture. After inserting fine needles into specific points, a gentle electric current is applied to stimulate the area. This technique enhances the therapeutic effects of acupuncture by promoting circulation, reducing inflammation, and accelerating pain relief.

Electroacupuncture is especially effective for:

  • Chronic and acute pain (neck, back, knee, shoulder, etc.)

  • Sports injuries

  • Muscle tightness or spasms

  • Nerve pain (sciatica, neuropathy)

  • Fertility support

  • Post-stroke rehabilitation

The electrical stimulation is very gentle — patients often describe it as a soft tapping or pulsing sensation. It’s safe, controlled, and often used when standard acupuncture needs an extra boost.

Ear Acupuncture 👂

Ear acupuncture is based on the idea that the entire body is reflected in the ear. By stimulating specific points on the ear, practitioners can influence physical and emotional health throughout the body.

Ear acupuncture may help with:

  • Stress, anxiety, and emotional imbalance

  • Insomnia

  • Addiction recovery and cravings

  • Pain relief

  • Hormonal regulation

  • Digestive issues

Sometimes, tiny ear seeds (natural seeds or small pellets) are placed on points with adhesive tape for continued stimulation after the session. Patients can gently press these points at home to extend the treatment effects.

At The Needle Lady Acupuncture Clinic, we may combine these advanced techniques with traditional acupuncture to create a personalized, effective, and holistic treatment experience tailored to your needs.
