About Xinyi
Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner | Founder of The Needle Lady
Xinyi Yuan is a qualified acupuncturist and Chinese herbal medicine practitioner based in Queenstown, New Zealand. With a deep-rooted passion for natural health and wellness, she completed comprehensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, earning her bachelor's degree after five years of full-time study and clinical practice in China.
Since relocating to New Zealand in 2022, Xinyi has worked in one multidisciplinary clinic across Queenstown, providing care to a diverse patient base. In 2024, she established her own practice — The Needle Lady — offering holistic, personalized treatments that integrate acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, guasha, tuina massage, and Chinese herbal medicine.
Xinyi is dedicated to helping patients restore balance, manage pain, improve fertility and hormonal health, and build resilience through stress and immune support. Her gentle yet effective approach is grounded in both traditional wisdom and modern evidence-based care.
Outside the clinic, Xinyi enjoys running, hiking, skiing, baking and tending her garden — drawing inspiration and calm from Queenstown’s stunning natural environment.

Special Interests
I have a deep interest in women’s health — from supporting menstrual balance and easing period discomfort, to helping with fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. Each stage of a woman’s cycle and life tells a different story, and I feel honoured to be part of that journey toward balance and wellbeing.
I also care deeply about stress, sleep, and emotional health. Modern life can feel overwhelming at times, and acupuncture offers a gentle way to calm the mind and restore inner balance.
In my practice, I also work with pain management for the neck, back, and joints, as well as digestive health and fatigue recovery, helping the body find its natural rhythm again.
